PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS FOR CRAFT BEER
Our line of plate and frame heat exchangers (also known as plate chillers or plate coolers) are specifically configured as wort chillers. Their high heat transfer efficiency makes them compact and easy to install even in places where space is limited. This line has clip-on gaskets and is therefore perfect where routine service is required regularly.
High-Efficiency Plate Heat Exchangers
The combination of their high-quality but thin stainless steel plates and counterflow function makes these plate heat exchangers extremely efficient. They can cool wort from 200F to 70F using city water in about 30 minutes. The resulting discharge water is hot. Hot enough that, provided clean potable water is used, it can be put into your HLT for your next brew.
We also carry two-section models which provide further chilling through the use of a glycol stage, this is especially useful in areas with abnormally warm city water.
